Work in progress

This is about a two hour effort from this morning. I have been wanting to paint this pink pitcher for quite a while but just have not found the the right set up.

Normally there is no real significance to the items I paint. I just look for the right object for the setup I am working on. However in this painting there are two things which are special. The dried flowers taking shape on the right are the flowers my youngest daughter recieved at her maypole ceremony this year (they have been drying in my studio for a couple months). The Rosary and silver box taking shape on the right belonged to my wife's grandmother.
