8x10 oil on gesso board
We are spending the weekend with my wife's parents in northern Arkansas. Emerald lake sits at the back of their property. We spent most of the weekend taking the kids (we have four) fishing and out in the boat. However, I snuck away for a couple of hours this afternoon and tried to paint a cove in the lake. Got a nice sunburn for my efforts (my first attempt at plein air painting). Not sure how I feel about this picture. I am (obviously) not a landscape painter. It was fun nevertheless.
