White Vase with Red Apples

This is actually a rework of my earlier painting "White Vase." The original was dark and dreary and just lacked the life and color I thought it needed. The more I looked at it in the studio, the more it bothered me. I think the red apples fixed it. What do you think?

This is actually a rework of my last painting, "White Vase." The more I looked at it the more it bothered me. It was just dull and drab with no real life to it.

I have to add another layer to the background to darken it a touch, but I think the apples did the trick.
