Still Life With Flowers In Jar

This is a large alla prima for me. I spent a while working on a still life on this canvas but finally got disgusted and scaped it off. For whatever reason, it seems that every so often a painting starts becoming stiff. The only cure is to scrape it and attack the canvas with loose brushstrokes.

This picture really does not show the nuances in the white cloth (best i could do with my iphone). I like the red/green contrast and the way the light hits the flower and falls over the jar. Charles
